New England Bay.

This story happened on: 17/07/2013

Wow, wow, wow. That basically sums up New England Bay. If you are looking for a laid back, chilled holiday in one of the most scenically beautiful and relaxing sites. . . .NEB is for you. 7 hrs it took us to get there from East Yorks-and worth every single mile. Before we got there the beauty of the (almost) island hit us with stunning views across Luce Bay. When we actually arrived it was goose bump stuff. We pitched with a view of the bay from our pitch. Every other day was a 'visiting' day and the others walking in the area and playing in the surf. The bay is not deep, no shelf is in evidence-that is superb for children, as they don't drop off the edge into deep water(handy when you have grown attached to the little tinkers). Logan Botanic Gardens is an eye opener, Scoland with a hint of the Med. truly stunning. Port Stewart, another gem. The Southern tip is Mull of Galloway-the most southern point in Scotland . Magical place. The whole holiday was enchanting. An overused sentence is 'stepping back in time'. . . .this is the place that epitomises the saying. One of the things you must do before you fall off the perch. The place was spotless & run superbly. All the Wardens I met was helpful and friendly. Caravan Club-well done.

Totally agree, we stayed at the site for 5 nights at the beginning of the month, really loved the peace and quiet, a wonderful site.

How I agree with everything you say. I think it's because the further you get away from the big cities the more the surroundings keep their own personality, and this is what makes it like you are stepping back in time. Long may this area stay like this!!

Been to New  England bay last year and couldnt agree more a truly stunning site and the veiws are magnificent there is a small convenience store in the village about 1 mile away or bigger shops in Stranraer including a  Supermarket I think it was Morrisons Stanraer is about 8 miles away  on a good road but for peace & quiet this is an ideal site to chill out and even go for a swim if you want  although it was a bit cold  the sea was clean and refreshing also its possible to see the seals swimming around the rocks there.
