Ferry Meadows. Ferry enjoyable.

This story happened on: 09/06/2013

Ferry Meadows, just outside Peterborough for the last week-excellent site. The adjoining Nene park is quite amazing, 500 acres and wall to wall lakes/ponds. During our stay we encountered on a daily basis(just outside the Awning)Mallard, Magpie, Pigeon, Squirrel, Rabbits, and lots of LBJ's. The trails around the park are numerous and thanks to a great plan that we were given at reception you can plan a walk to suit you. The Wardens were helpful, efficient and low key-my kinda Wardens. The ongoing debate on pitch parking-because of the width of my tow vehicle, to park up to the peg would have made me park my car half on the grass. So I pitched 2' from peg without any comment and/or wagging fingers. Common sense is alive & kicking at Ferry Meadows. The Fish & Chips are excellent and plentiful. The Ice creams ditto. As Arnie said-I'll be back.
