saving pitches

This story happened on: 17/09/2012

this summer we stayed at West Ayton while there we were told not to go on any pitches with cones on so we didnt thought it was for larger outfits other people we told the same. this went on for over a week with people going on the pitches only for a few days found out why that weekend there was a ralley (northen centres Commitee) they came on thurs till sunday onto the pitches marked with cones. Now we are not allowed to save pitches so why were they. these pitches in my veiw are some of the best there is at West Ayton sunshine all day. Ive wrote to complain about this had a reply saying that the chap who looks at this is busy & will reply when he gets round to it. This was begining of August typical Caravan Club one rule for them & one for us anyone else witness this. Rob.

We encountered some thing similar a few years back or could be longer at Top Lodge, the national had been held in the grounds at a castle near by and we were told not to go on the centre pitches as these are being used by people from East Grinstead.

We had a similar experience at Oxford Blaydon Chains site a couple of years ago,we were on our way back from the Isle of Wight, staying midweek and we were asked not to use pitches that were coned off, good pitches. Then low and behold at the weekend they were opened up again for regulars.
