Tony Bealing -RIP

This story happened on: 28/02/2014

I read in the March edition of the Club's Magazine the sad passing of Tony Bealing. Our condolances and thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

We visited Garlieston Club site last summer for the first time and were mad most welcome by the wardens Tony and Andrea. Both Tony and Andrea had time to chat, advise on local amenities, recommended the local 'dog loving' pub and generally made this piturebook site a location to be remembered for a very long time. The downside was that it is 450 miles from home but nevertheless will visit again in the future.

Wardens generally we have found to be special people and can make or break a holiday stay. These two were indeed special and will be sadly missed.

It is the first time that the death of a warden has reached us in this way, just a few days stay and made such an impression.

Please pass our feelings on to Andrea, thank her so much for their dedication and wish her well for the future which will be very lonely for some time to come.

Thank you Tony & Andrea, you will be missed
