the last trip of 2012

Well thats it for 2012.  another year in betty the baily touring around.  i almost forgot where we had been this year.  we have travelled up to York and down to Cornwall.  had a week at Rookesbury park and another one at Commons Wood.  betty the baily performed well, only blowing a fuse last week which was soon changed and battery charging commensed.  After staying on Caravan Club sites and private sites throughout the year i have to remind myself that i love the discounted washing machine prices, the clean facilities and the neat and tidy sites.  i struggled a couple of times to hitch betty up, this is where the pitch is lower than the road.  i learnt to raise betty on her legs and hitch up this way.  what did i miss -  people chatting to me, i caravan on my own with my 15 yr old daughter.  we choose to leave hubby at home and believe me he loves to stay home.  but please dont feel threatened by a women towing and touring .  i can reverse, set up a full size awning and empty the loo. for some reason people find this odd.  feel free to come over and have a chat.  i dont bite.  and heres to 2013, i have already booked by annaul leave from work and i just have to peruse the sites ready for next year.  will it be shopping or surfing . it will have to be the 10 hour 445 mile trip to cornwall again.  well i will spend my day of tomorrow cleaning betty and draining her water system, vacuum bag the bedding and put her giant sleeping bag on her for the winter.  heres farewell to girls on tour 2012 and bring one 2013
