Left Hand Drive Motorhomes, blind spots and tricky left turns !

This story happened on: 31/07/2012

For those of you with left hand drive motorhomes here's a tip for when you are driving alone - if you get a tricky left turn and you have a blind spot and/or can't see out to the right very well to check if the road's clear (roundabouts seem to be commonly a problem) - this is what i do - I twist your rear view mirror to the right so i can see through the passenger's door window, that way if you have a blind spot the mirror will give you a better view. Obviously you have to still be sure your way is clear, but I find this a really useful last second adjunct to craning my neck to see if it's safe to pull out.
