A Scary day

Ater two weeks touring Scotland,on CL sites,WONDERFULL,we decided to have a chill out 4 days at North Yorks moors site , a favourite of ours, on our arrival after booking inwe parked the van as instructed, put the legs down, moved the car to its appropiate position,and saw smoke coming from under the bonnet, on further investigation, drivers side, there was a fire,the warden David Allum came immediatley with a fire extinguisher, which could not touch it, he called the fire brigade, by the time they had come, the car was well alight, and exploded, windows blew out, air bags went off, my husband had to put the legs up, (before it exploded) and four people came to help us push it out of the way, everyone was so kind especially David and Linda Allum, we had to cut our 4 days to 2 days holiday, George and Jackie Hesketh,whowas staying there from Lanakshire, took us to the medical centre in Sneaton, because we had a lot of things in the car , laptop, Kindle, medication, clothes , caravan book, map, We had just bought the Lunar clubman new and was about to join the Green Flag, The Warden kindly let us use the site telephone to phone the insurance company , and George and Jackie brought us and and our van back home. We cannot thank every one enough who helped us, and commiserated with us, we have photos of the event, but alas no video .
