The Grand Mooch of the UK

This story happened on: 17/02/2012

In 2006 I retired from work at the age of 59 and cutting an extremely long story short I put every Club site and every town with a C/L with electric hook up into a computer and got it to sort them out into a route using my home as the start and finishing points. At that time there were over 850 places and up to writing this I have visited over 270 of them. In 2011 I spent 238 nights away visiting 59 sites and travelling 4096 miles.

So far this year I have been away for 24 nights and will be leaving home on Tue 21st Feb for a short trip around the North East and Scottish Borders.

Having just joined this discussion site I look forward to reading other peoples comments and stories and will help with advice about any sites that I have visited.

Brilliant, what a wonderfull idea. Would love to do something like that but know I never will be able to. Have a good year and keep us in touch with your progress.
