aysgarth falls

This story happened on: 15/05/2012

Just returned from our first trip into the Yorkshire Dales. Having a large motorhome (8m) we are often restricted by access, although ny husbands HGV experience means he can get us most places. We booked onto the Aysgarth Falls Hotel site newly opened on May 2nd. We were warned that everything on site was not yet ready but we took a chance and were glad we did.. Although not able to get on field due to heavy rain the owner and staff did all they could to make us and our two dogs welcome and allowed us to park on the slip road onto site. The beauty of the Dales have been mentioned before and I am sure so have the Falls but it was the Hotel intself that made this truely outstanding. It has just been re opened after two years and Steve the owner has done a great job, Stone floor, lots of wood, and a menu to dream of, good values and with real ales as well ensured that we did no cooking for the three nights stay. Dogs just slept on the floor well we ate and drank and accepted the fussing from staff and other vistors. Will be back later in the year and look forward to seeing the changes Steve is hoping to introduce onto the camping site.

eats shoots and leaves come to mind, should read dogs just slept on floor well we ate and drank and they accepted the fussing of staff and other visitors. Would say if intending to take a lab sized dog get used to lifting them over the sometimes narrow kissing gates, mine refused to jump over unlike the springer who lived up to his breed name
