We need a Rest

This story happened on: 31/08/2012

We have visited Ferry Meadows several times , using it as a stop over when heading north or returning. We always looked forward to an amble arround the first lake on arrival/ As we were rained off of the site at Bognor Regis site we thought we'd make F.M. a longer stay of 5 nights.  We selected the West site mainly because we prefer hard standings, it was a nice quiet section which we enjoyed, The real joy is the surrounding Nean Valley Park where we spent most of our time . Lovely easy walks interesting surroundings and wild life and the choice of two trains , what more can one wish for !! A really relaxing place and reccomend it to all.

If you can get in! We were recently driving back from Dover to Yorkshire and wanted an overnight halt and thought of Ferry Meadows as we have been before but all 265 pitches were full! Ended up in Cambridge.

We live in Peterborough but have still used the Ferry Meadows site and love it!  We always use it when we get a new caravan or awning to test them out.  Also when our oldest grand-daughter was little we always looked after her in the school holidays and she loved coming away with us in the van (firstly a motorhome and now a caravan) to Ferry Meadows site for a few days. As you say there is the park and Nene Valley Railway.  Always busy in the school holidays though.  You need to book early.

We love Ferry Meadows. Although we only live at Hunstanton we visit Ferry Meadows for three or four night stays four or five times a year. A great site in a lovely (Nene Park) area.

I really like Ferry Meadows site, and the Nene Valley Railway is an added bonus, plus the park for walks, and the fish and chip van! Smile
