Got em hooked........Well so far anyway!

This story happened on: 14/11/2012

Fed up with the annual stress and expense of 6 nights in the sun, I convinced my rather dubious family that we should take up caravanning. I have many happy memories of family holidays when younger, and with a seven and four year old, was thinking it might be time for a change.

Never one to do things by half, we've recently aquired a Sterling Europa 600 Twin Axle, and this last weekend we took our first weekend away!

We booked into Wareham Forest, Dorset recomeded by friends, from Friday to Sunday, and thankfully, everyone had a wonderful time.

After a few weekends of cleaning, adjusting, disinfecting lubricating and general fetling, the van worked perfectly. Fortuately the Sterling made towing a breeze, although a new van in the dark was a bit of a challenge!

We were lucky enough to share the weekend with good friends, and on occasion of my birthday, wine was drunk, food was eaten and a fun time had by all.

So, to those of you who were at Wareham Forest last weekend, and were wondering why there was a caravan with balloons and streamers proclaiming "Happy Birthday!" I confess. It was us!

See you all in the New Year.
