Sandringham Delight

This story happened on: 18/07/2015

Spent 10 nights on the caravan club site at Sandringham , and what a delight.

We received  a great welcome from the friendly wardens who clearly work hard  keep the site in pristine condition. Fish and chips , local butchers and fresh Pitza are available at various times on site during the week.

Situated a very short drive , or a decent walk from the Sandringham estate , our first port of call was the excellent visitor centre.we  walked round the sculpture trail , easily missed but well worth a visit , then on to one of the marked walks on the estate with our Westie , Rhona.Doggy heaven for little legs and a regular outing during the rest of our stay.Ample free parking round Sandringham Visitor centre was an unexpected bonus .

A 20 minute drive up to Old Hunstanton and down on to the dog friendly  beach in the evening where you can walk for miles on hard sand and enjoy peace and quiet and wondeful sunsets made our holiday .

While we were happy to walk locally and enjoy the beach the site is positioned in the ideal place to adventure throught North Norfolk and enjoy the many attractions,Sandringham House of course being first on the list.

Looking forward alredy to booking next year .

What a shame if you're back.  You'll miss the Sandringham flower show.  Absolutely brilliant when we were there. It's advertised as a flower show but it's much more, a must not to miss.  Smile It's on the 29th July this year.
