Easter Weekend Trip - 1st Outing

Even with snow on the ground at Kirriemuir, Angus we set off for a river side park for the weekend.  I dropped ;Lyn off at Work (no holiday for her bless)  and I set up all alone on site, after driving through a blizzard, which eventually eased off, Setting up not easy when your partner is not there to tell you your too close to the trees!!  .  Riverview Caravan park is situated Nr Dundee, at Monifieth and we managed to obtain a hard standing.  All set up and ready for a cuppa when I realised that the water was not getting through the pipes........yes you can guess a wee bit of freezing in the flexible pipes.  I spoke to a handy mechanic from the site who said Bailey was a bit prone to this effect even though  the van was drained down properly at the end of the season well Novemeber for us.  So blow heating on to thaw out a wee bit on the pipes and low and behold water poured forth from the taps even hot also.  Lyn arrived after work to be met with a nice meal, well if I do say so myself.  We then settled into a few glasses of wine and took stalk of the joys of caravanning, chilling, reading and just relaxing. On Easter sunday our grandson Charlie and his mum and dad visited us on site to roll the eggs lol and we had another day on site, Lyn was working monday (ah bless) so off she went to work and I did the reverse of the set up, dont you hate the new 13 pin plugs, just takes time to line, more trips required to fine tune that.  So anyway nice wee trip and hopefully the first of many this year.  Will be booking the CL at dunning (Perthshire) for weekend coming 6 -7 April 13.
