Thanks to all the caravan era helping out

This story happened on: 11/01/2016

newbyears Eve arrived, we we're in the southport site in the new extension.  Rain was not an issue but all of a sudden the wind started blowing out of nowhere.  The new extension has no shrubbery to protect the caravans in that area from high winds.  We heard a pole go in the awning, from there it was a down hill fight.  One went then another, next we were struggling to hold the awning at all.  It was cold and I was out in my pjs.  My wife was inside holding onto one pole and I had hold of 2, each time we turned round another pole came up out of the ground.  Several nearby caravanners then came to our aid including our friends who were there with us. without these kind and understanding folk we would have lost the awning and possibly had severe damage to our van whic is not quite a year old.  So to those who were helping us that day I just want to say a great big THANK YOU.
