Chatsworth Country Fair

This story happened on: 23/09/2012

Hi

Went to Chatsworth Country Fair what a lovely time. We tried to book caravan clib site but full. The temp site on the park had no electric or showers so no good. Ended up at http://www.knotlowfarm.co.uk/ very different type of site with Wigwams and Yurt on site. The site is on a working farm but the facilities are very good for a small site. Only six pitches with electric hook up. Superb toilets and showers. Dont follow sat nav came from Scarborough but just short of site came through Sheldon a little single  track road and very long steep hill. I am towing a Bailey Senator Montana 26 ft overall and tips the scales just under two tonne. It was the steepest hill I have pulled up with a tight switchback. Lucky I am pulling it with a Toyota Hi Lus Surf with a 3.0 litre diesel and auto box. Pulled up hill easy but was a little worry on my pats. The Chatsworth Country Fair was superb and we had planned to spend two days at fair but had to cut short due to health problem. I can recomend the fair to everybody as it coverd all kinds of sports hobbies and crafts. We were able to hire a large mobility scooter that made getting about soo much easier for my wife. Will be going again next year. Would use same site again but will try for one nearer. Not sure if my fan would fit into Chatsworth Caravan Club Site due to length of van.
