Brecon Bliss

This story happened on: 13/08/2013

Brynich, or Brecon Beacons as it is known now, is a Caravan Club Site. It is situated on the outskirts of Brecon with panoramic views of the Brecon Beacons in the distance.

This is a large site but you certainly don’t in any way feel crowded, with all pitches quite spacious even for the biggest units. The Wardens are the most helpful I have ever met and are a credit to the Caravan Club Organisation.

Westayed here over the Brecon Jazz Weekend and although the site was full, there was no noise from the returning revellers, of which we were one, LOL

The toilet and shower blocks are from the days when this site was a private campsite and all though spotlessly clean they are looking a little dated now and are due for an upgrade in my opinion. Plenty to see and do in the area from walking and cycling and even sailing, on Llangorse Lake but my favourite is to just chill out and relax in the quiet ambiance of the site as a whole.

For those who enjoy wholesome and hearty food I would recommend the Three Horse Shoes in Groesfaen, a short drive or a pleasant stroll from the site, the food here is reasonably priced and very good quality.
