Our first weekend Hayling Island Portsmouth

This story happened on: 30/11/2012

Jan and I love to walk on the beach with the dogs and go for walks in the countryside and explore different towns in and around Devon and Cornwall. We have only just got our caravan changed our car to suit the caravan. We haven't been out yet. We hope to go out in October for a weekend to give it a go and our friends are going make sure we know what we are doing once on-site so our first weekend trip will just be to get used to the way of the caravan

To try out our new car and caravan. We went to Hayling Island Portsmouth about 40 min from Southampton just to get used to the caravan. We had a great time. We had visitors first night and second night there was wind, rain and thunder fireworks going off being it was  November it didn't even bother our doggies we had chicken Chasseur first night and the Chinese the second night we loved it and it was a great  weekend

We had a great first weekend at Hayling Island. It was plain sailing with the new car and caravan so we are no longer virgins at taking the caravan out and we are looking forward to 2013 Joe and Jan

We returned to Hunters Moon on the 10th May 2013  and this is our own review. Hunter's Moon is a great site the toilets and showers are spotlessly clean the whole site is lovely. The Silent Woman is a very friendly pub and it is in walking distance form the site, turn right out of the site and it is on the left the food was absolutely gorgeous.  We've just come back from Hunters Moon on Sunday.  It was on Saturday we decided to have a meal in the Silent Woman,  Jan and I enjoyed the company and the food.  When I get time I hope to put a video on Facebook so people then click on the link and watch our Weekender at Hunters Moon great site.
