Dulverton Somerset 16th April to the 26th April.

My wife and I had a wonderful  holiday at Exmoor House Caravan Park in Dulverton Somerset  from the 16th April to the 26th April.  This was the first time that we have stayed anywhere that you could walk outside of the caravan and straight into a town without having to drive.  The site was very clean and friendly and the wardens most helpful.   If you ever decide to stay here my advice would be to follow the route which is in the caravan club book for the last few miles, otherwise the sat nav might take you through Dulverton Town which has very narrow streets and this won’t make you very popular with the residents.

A river ran through the site and ducks were often outside the caravan waiting to be fed and watered.  We went here to celebrate my 70th birthday and what a lovely birthday it was too.   The evening was spent in the Royal Oak (a pub/hotel which was straight out of Emmerdale).   Most of the pubs and cafes allow dogs and some of the shops, which for us was excellent as we have two West Highland Terriers and this meant that we could go out and have a meal any time.  This is the first holiday without our Yorkshire Terrier Jack as he passed away in February and we missed him very much  as he would have enjoyed the lovely walks we did, mind you he would have probably chased the ducks as our other two didn’t bother at all.

We are always there at the beginning of December, for Dulverton by Starlight!

Brilliant site for walking into town.
