Winter Mototrhome Use

This story happened on: 11/03/2013

We have never used our previous caravans or motorhomes in the winter before, so I was quite surprised how many people do.

We spent 2 days in October at Balatter, 2 days in November and 2 days in February at St Andrews. I did not put any water in the van on these occasions. We have just returned from 9 days in the lake district and was amazed by the number of vans on the sites. I'am going to use the van more in winter because we enjoyed the breaks and it does the van good to be in use.

We use our motorhome all through the year. you can"t beat going for a walk when it"s really cold and coming back to a cosy warm van. Also it does the van no good to be just sitting on your drive, go out and enjoy

Write your comments here...I did not fill the water system because we do not drink water from the van and we had full campsite facilities. It was fortunate because when we returned it temperature has dropped bellow freezing evry day. Anyway my next visit is to a rally and there is water provision on each pitch, if the weather improves over the next week, I shall recommission the waters system then.
