Autocruise Startrail Handbook

This story happened on: 07/02/2013

I have a 58 Autocruise Startrail with a missing handbook can anyone help.

My dealer has been in contact with Swift Group and the original owner and I have emailed Swift but no result. A copy is not on the Swift Group Technical Handbook website.

I believe there might be a PDF file in existence or a spare copy or a photocopy.out there.

I have a copy of the Fridge and Combi instructions.

The handbook would help to know why the control panel keeps bleeping with the inbuilt alarm switched off. Also I shall have to fill it with water come spring and there is a jumble of hoses and fittings lose in a box. I will sort it out out but it will be a lot easier with the right information.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jobber. Its very frustrating when you only get half the paperwork/user manuals etc, but, theres a dealership near us in Notts that deals quite a lot in Autotrails, all models. I know it might seem a bit cheeky but we have found them to be quite helpfull.  www.david-fuller.co.uk.  Hope this helps.

Hi David, Thanks for the info, I don't think its a bit cheeky when what you are doing is trying to help a fellow club member, good on you.

Yesterday I  visted our local Swift Dealer - Dee Valley Caravans. The owner Ian was a great help. He logged onto the Swift dealers spare parts caterloge website clicked on my model  and it came back with the handbook will be supplied in 28days cost £2:58p.

Why carn't Swift:
1 Let their clients order through this websit
2 Answer their customers emails.
3 Put the Autocruise coachbuilts on the Handbooks Website Page

On another note the website MyPeugeot gave me the contact details to obtain  a new security card and radio code, I phoned and emailed Arnold Clark and got no responce. After a long delay, I contacted an Arnold Clark chap who has previously sourced me Fiat spares. Today he contacted me saying that the required codes are on their way and because I have been 'mucked around ' they will stand the charge!

So there are some helpful dealers out there.

Just to close this off:

A couple of chaps at swift went the extra mile and found the handbook and the specification and wiring diagrams.

They acknowledged that the information on Autocruise coachbuilts was not on the Swift Group handbooks website but will be added shortly.
