First trip

This story happened on: 07/02/2012

We bought our Bailey Olympus at the NEC in October and took delivery in January,  Last weekend was our first trip in the caravan and we had loads to learn.  We went to Broadway which is close to home so involved only a short tow for our first time.  It is a lovely site and we had no problems pitching and setting up the caravan on Friday afternoon.  However it turned out to be the coldest night of the year and we had trouble with the gas heater. Frozen pipes also meant that the water pump and heater wouldn't work, but we sought advice from our dealer and, in the end, all was well.

Despite snow and very cold weather we really enjoyed our weekend away and learned an enormous amount.  Soon we are both going on a caravan club course so will be able to set out with greater confidence next time.

Looking forward to many more trips.  Our next one will be to Bath where Richard is running in the half marathon,
