Monty's Caravans

If you get the chance to visit Duxford Airfield (Imperial War Museum), as well as the many aircraft exhibits, you can see two motor caravans (their description, not mine!) used by Field Marshal Montgomery on campaigns- one was a captured Italian one. I imagine the fuel consumption was appalling - but then that was not the point, when fighting a war, was it.
