The awning

This story happened on: 27/07/2013

We got a phone call out of the blue from the lass we bought the caravan off 16 months prior, I was working abroad so the o/h did the dealings on my behalf.

The awning was delivered to our house and the instructions of how to erect said awning were left in her good hands and simple head.

I arrived home and within a few days we were off with new awning, o/h said this is what instructons I was given................so, for a good half hour we tried in vane, I said it was impossible for it to work in that manner and after a bit of harsh words she went to make a nice cup of yorkshire tea ahhhhh lovely.

A lovely chap from nearby came to our assistance and showed us the proper way, another halfhour later we only had to atached the sides and curtains, all in all it took about an hour and half, not too bad for first ever attempt at a full awning with tea break added in.

We have been away twice since with it and have got the timing to around 30 mins with curtains on, brilliant, just wish o/h had listened to the original instructions.

By the way, when they phoned they said they'd probably used the awning a handful of times only (well they all say that dont they), well by the state of it I dont think it was used more than twice, its immaculate and to say we are chuffed with this bargain is an understatement.
