12 months later

This story happened on: 03/09/2012

Just had the caravan for 12 months and dont regret getting it, a 2nd hand but extremely nice and dry van 12 yr old.

Weve been away so many times now Ive lost count, the CC and CL sites are by far the best weve been to and I'm not just saying this cause I'm a member, the only other one that comes close is (riverside at Bentham) its a belting site and a BOB site.

There are some sites which I wont name but we would never go to again (not CC or CL)

Our latest trip took us to 8 different sites, 3 in scotland and 5 in England. We had sunshine winds and rain but we enjoy it so much the trip was originally for 2 weeks but we extended it to 4 as work permitted.

Weve been away in the winter as well so have experienced the lot.

We havent been down south yet as the North is so beautiful, we have certain favourite sites already, Ive just done my reviews and when we really enjoy the site we email the wardens or owners and thank them for a wonderful time and always tell friends so they can visit.

We came across a fantastic CL near penrith (mains farm) absolute quality with fantastic owners, it also has other fields for more vans or campers but the CL is seperate.

So its a big, massive THANK YOU  to the CC for a fantastic 1st year and all the contributors for being ever so helpful when weve asked any questions.smilie

Roll on the next 12 months and behond. smilie

HI Andy,

We have also just celebrated our first year of caravanning anniversary last month, and like yourselves have been to numerous sites, both CC, one CL and private owned, can honestly also not fault CC and CL, probablies one of the best we have stayed at is Barnard Castle in Teesdale, lovely site, Wardens, area etc, worst we stayed at was Carlyon Bay in Cornwall, a private site, but apparently 5*, I would give it 3* max, maybe we are just spoilt by the amazing staff and facilities of the caravan club, but this has now reinforced that we will stay on club sites where possible from now on..... already planning next years main holiday with Bessy Bailey (10 yr old van, but perfect for us) and cant decide between Northumberland and Norfolk, may just have to do both, happy caravanning :-)
