Castleton Site - despite the pouring rain

This story happened on: 08/07/2012

After a horrendous day driving in torrential rain and horrible traffic (June 2012), we arrived to a friendly welcome.

Even getting soaked whilst filling the motorhome with water at the service point couldn't detract from the very pleasant site.

A shortish walk (turn right outside the Site0 takes you to the lovely village of Castleton. Brimming with good olde Pubs where a hearty cooked meal was enjoyed.

Sadly it was too awful (rain) to fully enjoy the surroundings - But we will be back to take advantage of the excellent location and the surrounding Dales & countryside

Glad you enjoyed it EdnJen. Think what it would be like with good wether! Castleton is an excellent site with so much to do in the locality and the more you go, the more you find to see. Shame about the weather but a good excuse to go back!
