Our first outing in a caravan

This story happened on: 09/05/2013

Our first outing with our caravan Cool, hubby was very nervous, could see the white knuckles, thought I would have to peel his fingers off the steering wheel when we arrived at our first siteWorried.  Balburnie Caravan park, we were very very impresssed, being campers in the past, we have never come across a site that is so well kept, facilities were very very clean, staff and other caravaners very helpfull.  The dog walking was second to none (so far), right beside the caravan park,  we actually got lost in the woods and had to use our sat nav the next dayEmbarassed, Kacy the dog loved it there is plenty places for him to have a swim, and loads of open spaces for him to run around.  We will definately be back!  well done BalburnieHappy

our 1st outing was last year, the 1st night was actually wild camping at a local picnic site (overnight stay allowed) this was to try the van out. the week after we were fully fledged members of the caravan club we booked into temple hall cl site for 2 weeks later, i didnt have a clue what was expected or what to do but upon arrival we were told were to pitch where water, disposal etc. was. the other vans on site (only 2 when we got there) were equally spaced so we parked in the middle next day another 2 arrived., my biggest surprise was how helpfull the other carravanners were, no sooner were trhe words this is our 1st time out of my mouth we were overwhelemed with the offers pf help if we got stuck on anything, a motorhome owner was in his last year due to illness & was sellinig bits n bobs i bought a new hook up lead & folding satellite dish from him, the latter was the best buy i have ever made as the kids now have their channels wherever we go (nights only after day activities)

ive probably waffled on to much here but felt i had to share how friendly the cc members i have met so far
