UK roadtrip 2015

This story happened on: 21/03/2016

We would like to say a big thankyou to the Caravan Club and its members, for their warm welcome during a recent 9 week tour around the uK.

We joined the club from NZ prior to our arrival, and it was an easy process to start our travels around the country, using mostly club sites.

We found the Site Managers to be extremely helpful, and nearly always,  welcoming.(some seemed to hold  our spaceship camper in very low esteem!) The sites were without exception, clean, tidy and well maintained. We were dismayed at the lack of kitchen facilities compared to camps at home, but fortunately the weather gods smiled on us, and we coped well.

Thankyou for making your clubs facilities available to overseas visitors. We are Caravan Club members in NZ, so the concept was not unfamiliar, just different.

We had a fabulous time, and have already been recommending UK as a travel destination to friends.

Thanks again

Henry and Deb Blyth

Nice story Deb and Henry. I've recently been looking at motohome mags brought back by a friend from NZ, you have some lovely sites and places to explore. I suppose we don't provide many outdoor cooking facilities due to our unpredictable weather so people take portable BBQs or cook in their vans. There are some sites that make make more provision, often ones with tents campers and back backers on site too.

Glad to hear you had a good time!
