Caravanholics Surprise

This story happened on: 12/10/2013

Just when you thought that you had EVERYTHING to do with caravans something comes along to knock your socks off!

Anyway, a few months ago my wife was chatting to me and asked me what my idea of a perfect day is...I asked her what she meant...she mentioned that  some people might say things things like breakfast in Paris, a walk along a Northumberland beach, lunch at their favourite place to eat in France....an evening at the roulette tables in Las Vegas etc etc etc.....but what would my idea be of a perfect day...and what if it wasnt just my perfect day but one that we shared together....?

So, once I started to really think about it we came up with something like this........

An exciting drive , through a tunnel  (  I LOVE tunnels) and up a steep and bendy road to an elevated campsite overlooking the sea......probably in a country a cross between France and Italy......a bit of sun, a breeze in our hair, our favoutite  9 euros Plat de Jour restaurant a short hike away, later, a BBQ on the go ( I burn everything!!!), good local potatoes ( I LOVE potatoes), many bottles of Samur Fizzy Wine, the abilty to Facetime our baby grandaughter, the ability to wear shorts and tee shirts, and able to mix with people if we feel like it, with the opportunity for a dance ( the wife LOVES dancing)) and even ( I almost fainted at this) a game of Bingo!!!!! Our dogs would have to be with us and for a change they would be perfectly mannered.....a Lidl nearby, and Pizza...and my wife would have Straight hair for one day only!!!!!

I gave our conversation no more real thought........until , a few weeks ago,on our XXXXth wedding anniversary we opened a present...It is a fabulous Cartoon, on Canvas, of all the things we talked about. I think Ive managed to post a picture....Its absolutely fantastic and makes us both smile!

The person who painted it has got it exactly right.we absolutely LOVE it

I wonder if we had made a list seperately of all the things in a Perfect Day exactly what the two Cartoons would be like??????!!!!!!!!!
