Motorhoming with the boats

This story happened on: 30/03/2016

Hi All from New Zealand

I'm an ex newspaper photographer, now semi retired and running a Motorhoming blog in NZ. Features on people with vans and places we've found to be interesting places to stay.

I've got a few followers now in the Uk and in Europe and from all around really.

Athough I've just turned some ads on, I don't expect to get rich. It's all a bit of fun and keep the brain cells active. You can see it at http://buggeritweareoff.com

Looking forward to sharing some of our travels and hearing about some of yours as we looking forward to Motorhoming there next year.

cheers

Chris

I have enjoyed looking through your blog Chris. I had hoped to find places I recognised myself from the 1970's when I was there with the big ships spending months along the coast. The only place I feel I could recall with any certainty was the Masonic Hotel at Napier but many of the names I recognised with fond memories of my times in NZ. I could not recognise Auckland Harbour skyline at all, but then it was a long time ago. You can read my stories on the forum's stories section of where we have visited in our short time camping. Regards, Roy

Nice to hear from you Roy. We're really looking forward to checking out the Uk and Scotland by Motor home mid next year. I've got a whole heap of rellies in Ely that I need to catch up with and a pub I need to have a beer in!

Cheers Chris

Hi if you are off to Ely enjoy, we (accidentally) ended up there after being diverted from another site at Burton Bradstock which was rain soaked and seeing as we had already got stuck in the mud twice before that we didn't want to risk it again. The site was hard standing &  was high up at Ely and the views were like watching a changing film everyday.  I got the most amazing photograph of a sunset there I had it made into an oil painting which now hangs on my lounge wall, I never get tired of looking at it, can't wait to go back again. Will check out your blog.
