Our Day Trip to Cartagena
This story happened on: 28/03/2016
On Easter Saturday we caught the bus from our campsite gate, here at Los Madriles , to Cartagena. The return fare for the two of us was just 8.40€ and the trip took 40 minutes or so. We first visited Cartagena in 2005, and visited all the Roman ruins, the Castle, the Air-raid shelters and had a boat trip around the bay. This time we were just out for a walk along the promenade, and up and down the Calle Mayor with lots of Spanish families: it wasn’t a day for visiting museums!
The bus ride was a bit scary crossing the mountains.

Here’s the Roman Theatre
Here’s an odd looking sculpture. Can’t think of caption for him.
Cath was able to renew an acquaintanceship with a nautical chum after 11 years apart.
