Never taken a caravan there but stayed with my Bongo camper albeit in 2009. Don't recall any problems and a lovely part of France. As with most sites they are what you make of them. For me, a caravan newbie, it is all about chilling out. Nice pool and facilities for kids. Worth getting down to the lake as well. I would go back again

Went to Parc de Fierbois in June this year. I have mixed feelings about this site. Firstly and more positively the welcome from staff and helpfulness on arrival was brilliant. They were expecting us and had a pitch already allocated. They showed us the plan which was near all facilities so ideal for our grandaughter. The pitch was spacious with electric hook-up and water and waste disposal. Some pitches bigger than others. Access on off site and pitch was very good. We have a very large outfit but had no issues. Access road to site can be a little trying especially through village of Sainte Catherine de Fierbois at busy times so be aware as there is really only one-way in and out unless you have a small conversion can use back roads. Overall the site was tidy. The outdoor pool area was great when the sun shines. The bar-entertainment area was big enough and you could get bar meals/ice-cream/confectionary. There is a restaurant (didn't use it) and a well stocked shop on site open at certain times. Fresh baked bread/croissants in the mornings so a quick stroll to the shop around 8am most mornings was ideal as still hot baked. The negative side was the Lake/man-made beach - too dirty with signs advising not to swim though you could fish but don't eat your catch due to contamination. Can hire pedal boats if you wish. There is adventure slide ropes across the lake though never saw anyone using them. The indoor gym/pool was in my opinion inadeqaute especially if the site was busy. It was June so not their main season yet. There were people working around the site preparing it in time for peak season but I would have expected this to have already been done prior to June as there was still a lot of people staying there. We were explained they had a lot of rain and weren't able to cut the grass or maintain as much on many pitches (ours was one) though we weren't fazed by this. They were trimming pitch hedges all the time we were there. There are no bins around the site, you have to dispose of your rubbish/recyclables in big containers at the site entrance by outdoor sports courts so best to bag it up and drop on your way out though I did enjoy the evening walk at the end of each day though! The toilet blocks around the site are communal as are the showers inside (one side Ladies other side Men in centre of block) and are not all in heated areas. Ok in the sumer warmer months. There is plenty of washing up facilities and veg prep areas. I think the cleaning of the communal toilets could be better as I experienced the same toilet paper dropped on the floor for two or three days before being cleared, there were also small stone chippings finding there way into the toilets on peoples shoes but didn't seem to be swept regularly. Cobwebs appeared in some areas as with most open areas open to nature. The toilets in the bar area is separate but can't use them for general use unless using the bar/games room. Some days little happening on site apart from hiring buggy's/bikes/racket ball games/pony riding on weekends. There is crazy-golf and an open sports fields for ball games. The site itself is located in The Loire Valley region but is a little out in the sticks so use of a car or touring with a motorhome is essential. The main road is approx. 2.2km from the site and a bus stop is located at the junction which can take you all the way to Tours (a lovely city a visit is a must) and is very cheap to use with no parking worries. The best way to explore the area is by car for those seeking out places of interest, Chateau's, Vine Yards etc of which there are many within a 50km radius. Overall we did enjoy our time at this site though felt could have been better! Perhaps the weather restricted some of the facilities and the site wasn't busy though was our main summer holiday so would have expected more. There is free-internet at receptions (two pc's one is French keyboard) Have been as honest as I can. Hope this helps.
