October woes

This story happened on: 16/10/2013

Over ta cold weekend in the cotswolds we decided to purchase a free standing self contained  heater for the awning. A visit to Witney found us in a paradise for camper and caravanner alike. We viewed a vafriety of options available  and decided upon a free standing , self contained unit. With its own cassette gas supply and no connection to the caravan it seemed ideal.

As advertised it was easily set up and ignited and so we sat down in the awning  to enjoy an early evening glass of wine in our cosy nest. As our sheltie decided to fuss us in exchange for a crisp we noticed the smell of scorched hair and then flames wafted by her wagging tail.

Luckily we extinguished the flames before she or our outfit suffered injury, but we certainly had a fright and learnt a very serious lesson!

What a silly Billy you are. One has to be so careful with animals and children with such hazards. I bet you do not allow your poor singed dog near it again.
