What's In A Name?

When I first got my Bailey Orion shortly after beginning my tour of “Birdsong” I posted a pic of the caravan on Facebook. I was then snowed under with replies from friends- most of which seemed to be: “What’s it called?”. Now- it’s probably 35 years since my first car, a Triumph Herald I called “Harold”, followed by a Citroen Dyane called “Purdey” - but I guess, being a greenhorn caravanner, I didn’t know people named them. Or do they? In the end, a friend in Australia suggested “Looks like a Douglas to me” - so Douglas Orion he is. I don’t know why this seemed right to me- but it just did!

Anyone else call their caravan or motorhome a name?
