Shock on the Loch

Hello all we are annual visitors Gibraltar (home from home) being club members for some years now. Holidaying in beautiful Scotland and coming down Loch Lomomd after a great touring week we had a minor accident on the road. On a rather narrow bridge road we encountered another motorhome driving in the opposite direction. Due to both our widths the wings mirrors collided and the impact broke both mirrors. Mine being a left hand drive, the window and quarter light shattered on the passenger side giving my wife quite a shock. Luckily no injuries were sustained by any. The other driver was most polite and helpful and being an experienced scots driver and directed us to a fiat agent garage where we would be seen into. This being Imperial Commercial Ltd in Govan Glassgow. On route we phoned and spoke to a most welcoming polite young advisor who reassured us and invited us to proceed to them where they would help in whatever way they could. On our arrival and taking into account this was Friday bank holiday weekend afternoon we were made to feel most welcome. Despite short notice they succeeded in securing all the spares needed. We were told to return the following morning Saturday for repairs. On our arrival that morning we were happy to know spares had arrived and they would carry out repairs forthwith. Alan their advisor very kindly offered to give us a lift to a nearby shopping mall so we could relax for a few hours whilst the van was done. He also picked us up a few hours later to return to the garage where our van was all ready and waiting to continue our holiday. The point of this story beig that, we would strongly recommend this company and staff to all motorhome owners who need assistance with their vehicles. Especially to Alan Smith who was polite pleasant and very kind, an asset for any organization. Also we would like to thank Ewan the mechanic who did a very good job in a short period of time. Also thanks to other driver in the incident for recommending this company and hope they were as lucky as we were. Thank you "IMPERIAL" and SCOTLAND.
