Crossways

This story happened on: 25/09/2017

We came upon Crossways camc by accident. What a wonderful site. Within an hour of arriving we were surrounded by my personal favourite creature, dragonflys.  To sit in amongst the beautiful trees drinking tea and having these stunning creatures sit on my head , arm and chair was heaven, I didn't think things could any better. How wrong i was.  Day two, sat outside having yet another cup of tea, a fawn saunters up to me and demands food! Now bear in mind my dog is lying on the floor next to me! They just looked at each other went nose to nose , gave each other a little lick and then totally ignored each other.  For a nature lover like me the site is idyllic. An amazing range of wildlife and birds, nuthatch, blue tits, woodpecker, dunnock ,robin to name just a few. Friendly squirrels and pheasants. It is another world.

The toilets are dry toilets ,which once you stop turning around to try to flush, pose no problem at all, although i would suggest if you have children to go with them. And no there is no smell at all, in fact a really good idea.

The wardens are great, and i would love to do their job but sadly i am now too old.
