Slack Jockey wheel

This story happened on: 14/05/2013

Today was our lat day at Conniston Park Coppice.

Ww had packed everything away ready to hitch the van to the car.

Decided to use motor mover to move caravan off uneven pitch, checked everything and started to move, 2 inches later the the jockey wheel slid straight up putting the nose of the van almost flat to the ground. What a plonker, i hadnt tightened the hitch lock my own daft fault. But it was enlightening to see fellow CV's come to our aid. We were back up and running in no time. Lovely people on a lovely site. Many thanks you know who you are.

2 lessons learnt for me here The first tighten the hitch lock, but more importantly we realised that our nose weight on the van was way too heavey. We will get that sorted before our next trip.
