Newquay Gem - Gwinear Farm

This story happened on: 06/08/2012

I feel i must tell everyone of a lovely little CL in Cubert just outside Newquay following our recent two week holiday. The site is called Gwinear Farm. This recent visit was our third consecutive and my family (2 plus 14yr and 6yr old) have enjoyed each one. The field is on a slight slope so levelling blocks may be needed it is quiet and secluded with a modest toilet block and each pitch having electric hook up. Well off the road it is a genuine retreat for all ages, perfectly positioned for visits to Newquay town centre and only 5 - 10 minutes drive from Crantock & Holywell beach (i suggest becoming National Trust members as it saves on £5 parking for beach visits as the car parks are owned and operated by The National Trust). The site has the benefit of 4 fishing lakes and although not a fisherman myself makes a lovely evening walk with the dogs. My children love it here as there are stables and open fields with horses grazing.

A true gem, I urge anyone wishing to visit Newquay it enquire.
