Electricity issue

A warm welcome to this lovely, well kept site. We wanted to change pitch, which was sorted straight away, we immediately tripped the electricity so paid an extra €1.50 for 10amps, but it continually tripped whenever we put the kettle on (turning fridge & water pump off beforehand) no other electricity used. Dishes are washed in the unisex toilet block sinks, and not much warm water available. A charge of 50 cents for a 4 minute shower. Site is quite remote and we felt there was a lack of local information displayed (ie. nearest supermarket/recommended places to visit/clear cycle & walking routes would be helpful) particularly in English. We would recommend Gorinchem, Utrecht and Leerdam. We learnt that you can download the Uflex app to have a bus pick you up from site, and trains are easy & regular from Leerdam (which would have been helpful info, on a notice board perhaps). The grass, flowers, hedges, toilet block and good sized pitches were very well looked after. Upon departure, we received a further bill for Tax, WiFi, electricity used and an extra £1.50 per day for 10amp. We hope this information is useful.

First stop from ferry

First port of call after disembarking from Hook-of-Holland overnight ferry. Lovely clean and quiet site which we used as a basis for visiting Amsterdam surrounding areas on way to Germany and Austria. Small lake on site with pleasant vista of surrounding farmland. Ten minute drive to petrol station and motorway junctions Shops in nearby Leerdam 5/10 mins away. Owners spoke good english and were very friendly Toilets/showers were very modern and clean. 6A power which is metered No cars allowed onto pitch sites: owner hooks up his little tractor and transfers caravan. Cars left in carpark by entrance. Access to site via number plate recognition system on barrier. Would recommend site

Not motorhome friendly

The club states this is a motorhome friendly site note it is not. There is no facility to fill your fresh water tank and to dump your grey water waste. Otherwise it’s a nice peaceful site in an orchard garden like setting the owners and very welcoming and could only apologise for the lack of motorhome facilities. They said the had informed the Club about this There are plenty of cycling routes from the site and Leerdam is about 10mins bike ride from the site
