Lovely site in a great location for the Saint Emilion vineyards.
We spent three nights here in the middle of June and the site was a pleasant surprise located in the middle of the extensive Saint Emilion vineyards. Part of the Yelloh group we received a very warm welcome from the reception staff with lots of information what was available locally. There had been a torrential thunderstorm just before we arrived and our allocated serviced pitch was flooded, but there was no problem at all with us changing pitch. Pitches well laid out divided by hedges.
Good toilet blocks with modern facilities and loads of hot water. Strangely the newer of the two blocks is located next to swimming pool complex which is well away from the main Caravan and Motorhome pitches.
Communal BBQ’s one taken over by a rally group of ACSI motorhomers one vending who provided excellent ad hoc Bavarian entertainment.
Great location especially to visit the old town of Saint Emilion where the site runs a free bus shuttle twice daily (bookable in advance at reception). The town is very much rustic France and has a plethora of shops extolling the virtues of the local red wine and there is no shortage of samples to try. However be aware prices are much higher than buying direct from the vineyard doors. Most of the vineyards do tours and tasting so there is no shortage of places to visit locally. We will certainly stay again if we are back in this area.
