What a lovely site. A really efficient and friendly welcome with a comprehensive explanation of the facilities available. We were allocated a generous, shaded and hedged, private pitch, which was accessible to units of all sizes. Toilets and showers were clean and well maintained. The leisure facilities were superb, with a lovely heated pool complex (which we had pretty much to ourselves), on site restaurant and local wine sales (not cheap wine, but then again St Emelion Grand Cru rarely is cheap!). Complimentary rowing and canoeing, on a lovely little lake (which we also had to ourselves!), was available during daylight hours. The site offered a shuttle service into the delightful town, which at less than two miles from the site was also a pleasant walk along quiet lanes through the fields of vines. There was absolutely no indication that the site was entering its last week of the season, nothing looked tired or neglected and the staff were always pleasant and attentive. We will definitely visit a Yelloh Site again. Word of warning! The Avtex CC satnav does not offer the best route to the site, from St Emilion follow the signposts. The satnav directs you along single track lanes with sharp bends, ditches and few passing places. Although passable with our mid sized (6.6mtr) motorhome it would not be a good route for a towed caravan of any size.
