Stopped here on way down to Ardeche in April and again on way back. Lovely heated showers and good pitches. The walk along the riverside just outside the camp gates was brilliant for exercising our border collie after hours in the car. Friendly owner with good English. The old town is worth exploring with lots of cafes and bars.
Stop over
Stopped here for 1 night on our journey what a lovely pitch all facilities and the best shower and washing up facilities we have had to date so clean
Great for a short stay
Lovely clean site run by two really nice & helpful people. There's a bar where you can buy great beer & lovely food. This site is in a great location for walking and cycling. Chalon sur Saone being across the river is a lovely town with plenty of history/sightseeing plus there are nice walks along the river bank. The cycling network is great and can take you further afield i.e. Chagny, Beaune, St Marcel and St Germain du Plain to name but a few. We will be visiting again sometime.
Excellent Night Halt
We stopped here for two nights on our way South and one night on our return. The site is about five minutes from the motorway although a bit " fiddly" to get to along the river bank. The reception was very friendly and helpful and the site fairly empty on our mid week stop but packed on our Saturday night stop. Facilities are clean and the bar restaurant pleasant. It's not far to walk into Chalon Sur Saone along the river path although it's not the most interesting Town in France . There is some road noise on the site but it's not a problem if you pitch closer to the river. The views are not stunning as old docks are opposite the site. However, I think it's fine for a night halt or short stay if you want to visit the area but it's not a holiday site. We will definitely stop there again .

Great one night stop over
Perfect stop over site for us on the way down to the south of France. Not a site that we would stay on for much longer. We had a great meal in the restaurant on site. The bread delivered in the morning is well worth ordering from reception. Showers hot clean and not push button. It's location is great for a quick get away on our next mornings journey.
Not one of the best for a longer stay
Arrived at the campsite to find it almost empty! Site is in the middle of an industrial estate with a view of pylons in the distance! Also there was a 6' fence between the site and the river - not mentioned in the brochure! Lots of road noise from the road running alongside the site - day and night.
Site started to fill up from about 3 pm and then empty the next morning. Very much used for overnight stops. We booked for 7 nights but moved on after 2! Showers were good.

Two night stay
A good river front site within easy reach of Chalon Sur Soane. Good modern toilet facilities kept clean and tidy. Good bar but can't comment on restaurant as owners son (the chef) was getting married the weekend we stayed there. 20 minute walk into the town which is worth a visit.
Useful for a short stay
Stayed here in June 2015 for two nights.
Friendly enough reception but was allocated a pitch which I wouldn't have chosen for myself. No grass just gravel and backed onto and overlooked by mobile chalet. Although the pitch overlooks the river, the view is very industrial (perfect view of a rusting old crane).
There is traffic noise from two nearby roads.
Absolutely no information about site or surrounding area offered on arrival.
Ok for a short break but probably wouldn't stay again.
Great pit stop site
Used on way to and from Spain. Very friendly welcome. Shower for children is fantastic. Small play area. Quiet and peaceful location. Would definitely use again.
