We surprised ourselves in that we had our doubts about the huge size of this place, but we had few problems.  The site is easy to find, but beware of the speed humps in Noja, with a caravan. Go very slowly, we did but our jockey wheel still touched down here and there.  Staff at check in spoke perfect English and were very helpful throughout.  Access to pitches is OK, the site roads need a little care, and some pitches had fairly high kerbs to get over, but plenty have easy ones. You can choose your own. Our pitch near a shower block was big enough for caravan, awning and car side by side and had a hedge on one side. Privacy wasn't a problem.  On reflection, we would choose a pitch more remote from the blocks next time as they are a focus for children who for some reason like to play around shower blocks on bikes and scooters.

During the week it was quiet, out of season, busier at weekends. Pitches in September are just bare earth, which isn't a problem, but are free draining when it rains. Facilities spotless, lots of hot water on tap (not on a button), may be better to take your own loo paper, as rolls available outside the cubicles.

Shop is quite good, we didn't use any other of the comprehensive facilities. Supermarkets are in Noja, but go a bit further to El Corte del Ingles with Hipercorp in Santander and you could spend a whole day with a fabulous choice of food and goodies at good prices. Good outing for a wet day, about 27 miles away, with masses of underground free parking. 

Enough has been said about the beaches, which were lovely, Noja itself is a very clean and tidy place, with lots of very impressive apartments serviced by shops. Couldn't understand an earlier review that the place was "poor".  Nearby Isla is pretty, with free parking, the old town is also worth a look.

Ferry is easy to get to and at time of writing, Brittany Ferries allow you to check in around 12 hours before sailing time and park all day for nothing, while you can explore the nearby city on foot.  Easy access to good motorways, east and west. We hope to return next year in better weather. 

High spot, a lovely trip to Santillana del Mar about an hour away west. Unbelievably pretty with a nice tapas bar for lunch.

Low spot, our (chosen) pitch was too close to the shower block, so a bit noisy at weekends. Highly recommended Even if the weather was a bit patchy.
