Horrendous Pitches

I don't usually write reviews, but after spending a couple of days here felt that I needed to. The pitch that we were given was impossible to get onto with a twin axle caravan. Getting onto the pitch resulted in several large scratches on the car, a broken jockey wheel and a husband with a very poorly chest. The pitch itself was completely unlevel, sloping drastically downwards with absolutely no sun getting through at all. Onto the facilities, the showers were a complete waste of time. The water would only run for approximately 10 seconds and was freezing, not suitable for children to shower independently. The actual activities on the site I cannot fault, but unfortunately the pitch and showers have spoilt it. I'm glad that this was just a couple of nights stay on the way back to the ferry as I would expect a lot more.

Fab site

Excellent site, well located ( the roads are narrow and windy getting to it but close to Tours and main routes South and North). Stop off for five nights here, wished we’d booked longer. Pools, lake, great (free) kids club, pony rides, reasonably priced onsite supermarket with all you need in it. Large pitch but tight to get in it, we’ve got a big unit and would’ve been stuffed without the motor mover. Absolutely loads for kids and adults alike without being prescriptive. Entertainment very good ( particularly the live band) food in the restaurant perfectly acceptable and pizzas from the takeaway very good too. Thoroughly recommend.

Great site - loved it!

Loved everything about this site. The pitches are great and there is lots to do. The only thing we weren't impressed with was the restaurant - food not great and slow service. We would definitely recommend this place though. It is really peaceful near the river and great for cycling too.

Two night stopover

We stayed at this site for two nights on our way back to the UK. It is a pleasant site, a bit remote but nevertheless it has access to several attractions (none of which we visited). The toilet facilities are good and modern and are cleaned regularly. The heated swimmiong pool is a bit of a hike from the main part of the camp where the outdoor pool is located. The restaurant has a limited selection on the menu but the quality of the food is good. The staff are friendly and helpfull. The pitches are mostly grass and are reasonably level although some may need levelling blocks. On the whole I would recommend this site if you are towing a caravan but you are restricted with things to do if you have a motorhome.
