August 2015
This was not a bad site, but in reality, there are so much better out there. The pools are excellent, but other than that I think it's fair to say that it wasn't my sort of place. Music would drone over the camp site some nights until 3am which was a bit wearing after a while. The toilet blocks often had a queue for the showers in the evening. Be careful picking your shower as many have pervert holes seemingly drilled into the cubicles. Some of the roads through the site were very narrow with tight bends, so be warned if u have a large van. If reception take you the narrow route then you are in for some fun. On arriving at site, down a steep narrow lane, you will find cars parked all over the place due to the car park being too small. Our pitch and others around lost electric most nights several times between about 7 and 8pm. When buying bread at the shop I asked for change for the pool table. Not a big request I thought... I was given my change for the bread, but sent to reception for change for the pool table.
Response from the Caravan Club
Thank you for leaving your feedback on our website, and thanks for the tip regarding larger outfits and tight bends, we are sure that other members will find that helpful. We are glad to hear that you found the pools to be excellent – always important during the August heat!
We are disappointed that some aspects of the site did not match your expectations, and really sorry that the site did not turn the music off at a reasonable time. August is always the noisiest and most busy time for all of our overseas sites and facilities can sometimes become overstretched.
