Good for families

Not for you if you’re looking for peace and quiet!

A huge site with lots going on. This site is busy even out of traditional high season. It has lots of similarities to Center Parcs, with at least three swimming pools, golf course, equestrian centre, zip lines, water skiing, fishing, pedalloes and lots more. It is well provided with bars restaurants and a take-away all were open and busy even in early June. The site is currently undergoing expansion and modification. The access is currently not good for motorhomes and tourers, with access route to the pitches via reception and a very busy central area. They suggested initially that I should detour around the perimeter but locating my pitch would have been virtually impossible without prior knowledge of the layout. The plans involve relocating reception and access routes which should help the situation enormously. The toilet facilities are modern, heated and regularly cleaned. In short the place is great if you need entertainment and activities for kids - less so if you are looking for peace and quiet. Lots of people visit for the weekend and the noise can go on until the early hours on Saturday night! The site is also quite expensive, probably due to the facilities available but the €50 tourist tax on top was a bit of a shock! Nevertheless the site is in a great location with Mont St. Michel, Cancale, St. Malo, Dinan and Dinard all within about half an hour drive. The oysters in Cancale are a bit of a tradition with stalls on the harbour serving fresh from the sea - but if you don’t fancy a helping of sand you may be better off in a restaurant!
