We have just returned from a month in France. During that time we spent 2 weeks at Pavilion Royal in Bidart near Biarritz. It was an amazing place with a great shop, restaurant and bar. We were lucky enough to have a pitch only 20 yards from the gate to the beach. The view was amazing and the sunsets beautiful. It was well over 30 degrees when we were there and the only way to cool down was to walk along the beach on the shoreline ( oh what a chore ! ) the swimming pool was quiet and very enjoyable. The large supermarket was only 5 minutes away in the car and Biarritz only 10 minutes away. Our only criticism, when it gets windy and it did (100 kilometres an hour) it can be frightening. But the pitches toward the back of the site were more sheltered. All in all we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we would return.
