We stayed in September and our experience was much the same as previous reviewers. No proper booking-in system and told to go anywhere, but the lake-side pitches would be too muddy. This site appears to have had no investment for many years and we were horrified at the state of the toilets and showers, the water points, and the waste water facility. Restaurant closed and we wouldn't have wanted to eat there anyway. We understand the pool had had a filthy cover which had recently been removed, but again we wouldn't have risked using it. There were only about 5 vans on site during our 3 day stay and two of the campervans only stayed one night and left. Major investment is required. This site really should not have Caravan Club recommendation.
