Difficult to be Positive

Stayed in June 2024. Many contrasting reviews both on here and trip advisor - and I can see why. The location and setting is lovely. No doubt about that. What lets it down is how it’s run. No information given to us upon check in - just given a map, where the available pitches were circled. The teenage girl (who was the only staff we saw during our stay) didn’t seem interested in which one we chose, so off we went. The pitches ARE big. But the EHU are European, so make sure you have an adapter. Many people complain about how sloped they are; yes, some are really sloped, so chose somewhere that you can manage with chocks. Faculties. Well, the shower was hot. But that’s where the positives end. There is a new block that was closed, and looked nice - all we had was a single barn that has two showers and two toilets and two sinks. When you have 10+ pitches occupied, that's not good. There is no WiFi. It only works at reception. The “shop” is sparse. Make sure you go to a supermarket before staying here, as there is NOTHING around. No shops, nothing. There is a small town about 40 minutes away in foot, but it has nothing. Restaurant? Well, I asked - and apparently was open on Friday and Saturday night… it wasn’t. Only go here for two nights max, and you have a strong phone signal and plenty of food.
