Good for families

Peaceful site. Great Location.

Our second visit here in past 4 years. It is set in a lovely peaceful and quiet location just close enough for visits to Bordeaux and other towns in the area. Not a sight for families with teenagers nothing for them to do and very poor internet service, but young ones ok. The new owners have obviously started to invest in improving facilities. The new covered pool being the obvious one and new additional toilet block also. Both positives, but it would seem to be at the detriment to the general upkeep of the rest of the site and that is a shame. As a bare minimum the grass pitches should be cut and tidy and the water taps and grey waste drains kept clear, clean and usable without flooding other pitches. The reception greeting could have been more friendly but hey it was a hot day. One tip take mosquito spray and/ or other preventitive measures as the fishing lakes Make for a bite fest otherwise. Pitches are generally ok but most are sloping and majority are prone to waterlogging if it rains hard. Big rigs may find the stony, quite steep, access "track" slippery and difficult , particularly in wet weather. We would visit again as it is in a lovely area but think attention to detail is key for this site.
