This is a lovely quiet site set in a beautiful location. Excellent access to the Grotto via a rear entrance to the grounds is only a 10-15 minute walk away.
Although English is spoken on site it wasn't very fluent on our visit but certainly better than my French.
I had tried to book a table in the restaurant in advance for when we arrived via email and FB without success. When I mentioned this at Reception I was told they ignored my messages as I had booked through CAMC. We did get a table but then again, we visited at the end of May. Food was excellent.
Good wash block, a very basic shop but bread is available in the morning as long as you pre order. A nice looking pool area which we didn't use as it rained every day of our stay. That brings me to the pitch. We arrived when it had clearly been wet for sometime so our pitch was already sodden, as were several others. It was plenty big enough but only had 6 Amps. Once they realised I should have 10 Amps they directed me to a power bollard across an adjoining pitch access road and pitch. Not the end of the world but it would have been nice to have had a 10 amp pitch available.
Overall it's a nice site and if in the area would use it again.
N.B. Directions in the CAMC Touring Europe book are OK until the bit where is says "in 100m turn R onto Rue de Pau sp St Pe & Betharram" It should say either in 100m turn R at roundabout SP Hospital then see a sp St Pe & Betharram" or "turn R before the bridge then follow sat nav" (sorry I can't remember the right turn) I think this is a better road in with very few road humps whereas the other was driving down past Lourdes Grotto and School has very many.
A beautiful relaxed location with excellent customer service
We enjoy smaller and quieter sites and this fits the bill perfectly even in mid July. Large fairly level grass pitch with great space. There is reasonable shade in most places. The staff were pleasant and welcoming and the bar and restaurant service really good. The pool is a little small particularly when the site was busier with families but the environment remained calm and relaxed. An easy walk in to Lourdes and the grotto etc. I would highly recommend this site and we would have booked for longer other than for exploring the delights of San Sebastián. The drive from Bilbao or Santander is really easy. The facilities are modern and impeccably clean throughout the day
Perfect base
Travelling at the end of September gives one quite a different view of a site, this one was busy but I guess Lourdes has an appeal all year round. Its perfectly placed for a walk into Lourdes and you can drive to many interesting and beautiful places from it. Great for the dog, with a forest on site and with many walks from the site. Decent sized pitches and immaculate toilet facilities. We had a very warm welcome and all the facilities were still open, including the restaurant and bar. We ordered a cooked chicken for the following day which was perfect. Pool is small, but has stunning views, but I guess in July/August it could be very busy if everyone is trying to cool off! Easily accessible site and worth a visit.

Three Days in The Haute Pyrenees
We stayed at this site for 3 nights in mid August 2019. This is lovely small site that is perfect for visiting Lourdes and in our case the Pyrenees. The staff were very friendly and helpful escorting us to our pitch giving us a choice despite it being August. Our pitch was large and grassy with enough room for all of our bits. There is a small pool on site which was very popular on our visit. There are lovely views across Lourdes from the site and as it's in the Pyrenees the site is lovely and green. There is a small restaurant on site, a bar and a very small shop. Bread etc could be ordered at reception the night before for the morning. The facilities were clean and well maintained, we have no issues with them. This site was one of a number we stayed at during our trip through France and was well worth the stay. The Haute Pyrenees is stunning and Lourdes is an experience. This site is perfectly placed, it is halfway up a hill but the site is in a dip and access is not a problem. This was our first experience of staying at a smaller site than we were used to and it was a very pleasant experience. I would recommend this site to anyone visiting this area. It really is a lovely site and I have no complaints with it whatsoever.
A great base for visiting the Haute-Pyrenees
A warm welcome was extended by Anne-Emilie and Victor who made us feel very welcome from the start. They happily allowed us to chose our emplacement even though they were closed as it was lunch time. The facilities are spotlessly clean and were kept immaculate through out our stay. There is a mixture of camping and lodges dotted around the site which has wonderful views from the pool area over towards Lourdes. At the back of the site is a lovely Forest leading down to a brook running down the hillside, where there are some places to pitch tents and a shaded dog walk. Victor is working on this area in the hopes of building cabins in the future.
You can walk into Lourdes from the site, as there is an access gate into La Grotte, Victor supplies you with the details.
There is a restaurant on site, Victor wears his Chef's hat in the evenings and provides delicious food. There is a limited menu but it is all the better for it. You can order your baguettes, croissant etc everyday for the following morning. You can also order a cooked chicken.
Victor is happy to recommend places to visit and day trips out and came over to our pitch on a couple of occasions to check we were happy and everything was ok.
If you like animals there is a small menagerie of a pig, chickens, geese, ponies and two dogs including a lovely schnauzer - who we rather fell for.
There is also a good children's play area.
All in all we really enjoyed our stay on this well kept and obviously loved site.
